Completed July 2014, KEMOLO supplied a tropical freeze-drying line for Mexican avocado products, with closed cooling tower for hard water, 220V/60Hz 3-phase system, FDA compliance, and 304 stainless steel pallets for US export.
Case Details
This July 2014 project delivered a turnkey freeze-dried avocado and avocado powder production system in Mexico’s tropical regions, with KEMOLO as the exclusive equipment provider. Tailored to the tropical climate and local water challenges, the solution included a custom water-cooled condensing system, a robust energy-saving scheme, upgraded electrical infrastructure, and full FDA compliance for US export.
To address Mexico’s hard tap water with high calcium carbonate content, KEMOLO integrated a closed cooling tower to eliminate scaling risks and ensure system stability. The water-cooled system was paired with a multi-layer energy-saving plan to cut operational costs. All electrical components were configured for 220V/60Hz three-phase power with thickened wires to meet local grid demands, and 304 stainless steel trays were adopted for hygienic, FDA-compliant product handling.
The completed system operated stably in high-temperature tropical environments, achieving a 32% annual energy reduction. All finished products fully met FDA standards, enabling seamless export to the US market. The closed cooling tower effectively solved hard water scaling issues, while the modular design supported scalable production, establishing a benchmark for tropical freeze-dried fruit processing.
